Second when reported by Hardmac, Apple is working on a tool that allows technicians to remotely receive Diagnostics on iOS devices, useful to be able to quickly understand the problem faced by a particular device.
The operation, from what we are told by the source, it is very simple: the system operates entirely online, as a special URL is sent to the device which, when opened via Mobile Safari, automatically starts the internal controls and sends the result to Apple's servers that can access authorised service centres.
It would be a very convenient and fast to perform a basic diagnostic device, even when it is taken at an Apple Store and the customer has immediately need to understand the problem that afflicts the your device. Logically, the tool works only on those devices on which Safari is still usable, and becomes useless when the device is completely nonfunctional.
Among the information that would be sent to remote we have: battery status, the levels of charging, the time elapsed since last recharge, the average duration of the battery, tampering with the software (see jailbreak) and other technical information.
