Apple is willing to pay a higher price for screens in order not to slow the production of the iPad and iPhone
Apple would be willing to pay far higher than the previous touchscreen panels to win the necessary for the production of their devices. Very smart move because the same panels would subsequently "removed" to competition, that you would with very minor.
